About

My name is Brian Kelly, and I’m a software professional based in the Boston area.

This blog focuses on the human aspects of software engineering and how the worlds of machine and man can better be bridged.

Currently I’m VP Engineering at Arcules, a company building cloud-based security intelligence systems for IoT sensors and video cameras.

I began my career building distributed systems and middleware products at IONA Technologies. I was VP of Engineering at TimeTrade Systems and led their transition to a microservices architecture, and I ran engineering at Conjur before and after their acquisition by CyberArk. More recently, I was VP Engineering at Flipdish, Ireland’s latest $1B unicorn, and then at AppMap building runtime analysis tools for developers.
